You don't need your own product to succeed online, although it can pay you 100% commissions, give you credibility in market, attract big time joint venture partners and build traffic to your domain and make you sales, you can still be successful as a affiliate marketer, except you must have either a list or a good amount of traffic driving to your site to keep commissions rolling. One of my biggest things is, when you promote affiliate programs you are promoting for someone else, so you are branding them and promoting their dreams, I do promote affiliate programs myself, so it's all love there, but when you have your own product, you are branding YOU and stepping out as a leader, and is the quickest way to get noticed. Having your own product is great but I personally prefer affiliate marketing for several reasons. As an affiliate marketer, I don’t have to deal with customer issues, shipping, product research and development, etc. All I need to focus on is driving traffic to the merchant’s web site.
