Let’s Talk Traffic!
Let’s Talk Traffic!
The more traffic you generate, the greater your income! Believe that? I do! Seriously, it’s as simple as that. But unfortunately, generating the traffic can be a challenge. I have found it to be my greatest one – every day. Just keep plugging away…it gets better! Here’s what you can do…
** Submit regular press releases to relevant media outlets. Don’t think it takes knowing the right people to get publicity for your business. By distributing regular press releases that are well written, targeted and interesting the media will be glad to publish them. Do you have an exciting new product? Do you have an event going on? Come up with something clever and newsworthy and just start writing! The submit your press release to several online sites, PRWeb.com comes to mind, but I know there are others. Google it.
** Distribute a brandable eBook or special report. A brandable eBook or report is one that you can change to include your own affiliate links to websites for which you are selling their products or services. Give the branded ebook away, offer it on your blog, etc. This can go viral! Those reading the ebook will be visiting your affiliate links, the more you distribute, the more traffic you’ll receive.
** How about this…Pull a stunt that gets people talking! The media loves stories about people doing crazy things. Whether you do it online or offline if you make a big splash people will start talking about you. Just make sure it’s somehow related to your website or product so that your URL gets exposure and traffic.
** Join social networking sites to build your personal network. Networking sites are designed to make it easy for people to meet others in their industry and to advertise their products and services. Similar to offline networking events where lots of people come together for the sole purpose of meeting people, online networking sites work the same way. Twitter and Facebook are my top two, but there are plenty of others. Network, get to know people. This is an awesome strategy.
** Exchange links with other websites. Exchanging links with other websites can bring a substantial amount of traffic if you choose your link partners wisely. I’m a believer that this still works. You’re better to have 10 links from sites that are prominently displaying your URL and driving traffic to it, than 100 who just put your link on a page with hundreds of other links. Be sure you’re linking to sites that are relevant to yours and that you honestly endorse.

Brenda, this is a good article to get people started and headed in the right direction. As you know when it comes to traffic there are so many options. It is usually best when you master one source and move to another one without letting the other one go.Being diversified helps to be found in many different places because not all people learn the same way. That is why we are focusing on methodically attacking the search engines and maximizing the available resources to build traffic.
Keep up the good work,

So true, Jimmy. There are many methods of driving traffic. Perfectly said…master one source, then move on to master another source…When it comes to driving traffic, using many different options are key. Thanks!
Some great traffic tips Brenda. I need to start submitting press releases again and I’ve been planning on another e-book but haven’t found the time. Two reminders that are very helpful right now because I’m writing thing down that I need to get busy on. Another one is Article Marketing.
I like the ‘stunt’ idea. That would fall under extreme marketing for sure. I love that stuff.
